I made Private Runners

because this is who I am. This is my lifestyle.

Though, I constantly look over my shoulder for police, I love this shit. Like Mobb Deep said “…as long as I’m alive ima live illegal…” We all break the law one way or another. Those that live the similar car lifestyle, will have some kind of modification done to their cars that isn’t legal for public roads. i.e., when you pull out fresh new coilovers from the box, the instructions read, “For off road use only.”

A few months back, my Street Family was misconceived. One person and his peers thought of PVT as some “ricer-ass poseurs.” I informed him we’re more about lifestyle. As I was about to continue with the explanation of the lifestyle, I halted. I came to the conclusion that I didn’t have to justify shit. For when you feel you have to justify yourself to a stranger, you automatically fall under their devilish thought process, like you have to prove something to them. Never let anyone get the best of you. I’m the type that lets my actions be my answers. Period. Private Runners is my lifestyle. I don’t live it only a few hours of the day. I wake up, breathe, eat and endure it every second. We squashed it after that and never spoke again.

There’s a saying that goes when you create a “fan base” there’s always haters that will straggle along. AND that’s fine. I greet all people the same way, with open arms; friends, strangers, and foes. And after we cross paths I wish the best for you.

On a lighter note, I’ve been seeing how people around the world are using the term “Private Runner” and it’s quite interesting. I’ve been seeing it across Europe, Spain, and South America. Some hardcore law breaking folks in Malaysia took my term as a “style of car” which I thought was pretty dope.

I’ll have to admit, it’s been awhile since I went on a REAL Private Run. Honestly, it’s because I’ve been focusing on my career. I have bills to pay and I plan on starting my own family soon. Even though I have a full time job, I’m always hustling to make extra dough. Not to mention, that I help out with sales at my old shop back in Sac.

A few days ago I met Brandon, the owner of Bowls LA. This is the guy who made the recent kanjo documentary,”The Kanjozoku.” He complimented my weblogs and said, “I actually took some of your content and used it in the documentary.” lol I thought that was pretty cool, because when I watched the film I was like “Hey, I have those photos!” He’s cool a dude for sure. He’s hustling everyday with his shop. Unlike the folks who want misunderstand us and talk shit. That’s what separates us from “them.” We keep doing what we do and do what we love. We don’t talk shit or dwell on negativity. For that just creates more negative energy.

Road racing is the most hardcore elements in the car culture. I plan on getting back into tracking again. There’s a Auto-X course about 20 mins from where I live.  It’s been four years since I’ve participated. I’ve been meaning to hit that up once time permits, as well as hitting up a road course in the future. I have nothing to prove on the track. Just develop better and new skills. When you work on your “craft” you work on yourself.

I see a bright future with all my Street Family members. We will all keep doing what we do. Substance will always over power hype. Always be original and have substance.
