Owning a car without A/C can be hectic for some. When I used to live in Sacramento, this is how I cooled off. 🍧🥤
Speaking of cooling off, did y’all get your free slurpees this past Thursday?
I remember waiting for the temperature to drop to tolerable levels in Sacramento, then I would pick up a slurpee and cruise around. Vivid-bright colors, like the ones you see in slurpees, always sets off that summer time vibe, and Thrilla Krew does just that with their clothing. Peep out this Thrilla Krew x Slushcult collaboration:
This also brings back nostalgia for me. Gas stations served as sanctuaries during the hot days and nights. Though, us Runners never trashed anything, the way the characters are acting resembled how we acted on the highway. Steve Nazar is the man behind the drawings. If some of you don’t know his artwork, look up T&C (Town and Country) Surf Designs: Wood & Water Rage. I remember playing the NES game as a kid, I used to suck at the surf level 😅.
Since moving to San Diego, beach life is second nature out here. It’s another reason why I like Steve Nazar’s work. It’s the cool color combinations that’s easy on the eyes, and the way he draws his pictures puts you in a beach party realm, which is something you will see out here. I’m glad the weather hasn’t been too hot lately, unlike my home town in the state capital. Temperatures have been getting rather cool at night, making it good kickback and beer chugging weather lol
Stay cool y’all. Remember to stop and smell the roses and enjoy the little things. Peace.
P S., did you know JHPUSA sells Thrilla Krew gear?
